To make this pitcher LeRoy begins with a clear glass tube...he gently blows into the cool end with a small rubber hose as he wraps his chosen "Northstar" color around it.

As the glass is heated LeRoy begins the shaping of the flass that will eventually become the pitcher. Since this picture features a "feathered design" LeRoy wraps stringer around and then uses a small curved rod to blend the two colors.

LeRoy also uses a specially designed tapered rod that makes just the right taper so that the stopper that he will make later will fit perfectly.
